And God's sheep scatter, leaving the target alone, unhelped and unguarded. Second only to angels, the sins of lying and cowardice (fear is rebuked at least 100 times in Scripture) is avoided as well. Even though they are the ones in Revelation thrown into the lake of fire. In Job we see his fear giving a foothold for Satan's accusation. And lies, fear and anger are often the footholds that give demons entree into a person's soul. Yet we act like these 'unseen' sins are not bad. In fact, a person is often justified by society and friends if they lie or say they're "afraid" or are so clearly angry that others are afraid to confront them.

The thing about angels and demons is they are always confronted by people in scripture, especially Jesus, with open proclamation. They are driven out.

My prayer is that we would have the boldness to face and name the unseen spiritual sins and beings present as we 'get closer to serving God.'

May our friends fight as hard as our enemies.Pastor David Barneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06874951043087194135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8580198277241840024.post-8756513729054408542013-09-30T15:54:30.630-07:002013-09-30T15:54:30.630-07:00Excellent!
Even though this is a "Roman"...Excellent!

Even though this is a "Roman" prayer, I still use it frequently:
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.Melanchthonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10408836522452429723noreply@blogger.com
